Peace and Quiet

Peace and Quiet

A Poem by Jeremiah Medina
"

i like the quiet... can you tell?

"

Brain me to death tonight
You bore me with every breath
Shot down like a cannon ball
Dead duck, Id love to see you fall
Loathing you as your lips move all over
Day dream of killing you
As if Id try to move a boulder
Thats just too much work to do
Silent I contemplate tomorrow
Making lists of future plans
Noding thoughtfully, as if I listen
Every stupid thing you've said
I cant take your mindless dribble
So I socked you in the head
I laughed, as teeth flew out all over
They all thought that you were dead
Hes not dead, this mindless zombie
Though he might deserve to be
If he had any essence to him
It died early on I see
Talk, talk, talk and never listen
What you say has zero interest
Words in edge wise, cant be made
Just a bird, without a brain.
For all those over-talkers out there
Beware of those who do not speak
For as they nod, smile politely
They imagine you extinct.

Silence is a blessing...
Rarely appreciated...
Peace and quiet...
Shut up and listen...

That was a very cool poem, very true as well. A lot of anger is coming from your words, but any type of emotion if properly written is a good thing in writing.

Beware of those who do not speak
For as they nod, smile politely
They imagine you extinct.

It's scary how harsh your words are yet so very true, everyone has met that over talker. You describe the way they beat your brain so well, and give it a flow that is perfect for the quickness and "tongue in cheek" comedy that is hidden underneath. I really enjoyed it, great write.
