A Thinker

A Thinker

A Poem by Jeremiah Medina
"

Think, Think, Think. ~Winnie The Pooh

"

Your mind has changed...
Hey there lazy thinker,
With that sly smirk on your lips.
What is it in that head of yours,
That makes your ticker tick?
Its not your own...
Day dreaming like always
Creative sparks exploding
Brand new ideas erupting
Entertaining and enlightening
Is that genius in there?
Should i look inside your ear?
Will i see an incredible world?
With millions of people doing wonderful things.
Now it Begins...
Will i see a machine?
A robotic mainframe circuitry.
If i tap your skull, will it ping?
If i look inside will you bleed?
You will unfold...
Millions of tiny flying spiders.
Crawling out of every pore
Fly away from you
As you laugh at the tickles
You're loosing that ability...
Your mind is leaking, fusing, tweaking
Its changing our reality
All the things that you've been thinking
Are no longer fantasy.
Here come the demons
That you've created
Pushing their way through
To Think...
From your mouth
The words you've said
Vomit out upon the world
Pouring into existence
All that's cruel and pure.
Everything you made believe...
All those horrors you imagined
All those deaths and more
Murder by your own hand
Killing, thoughts of gore
There's a bright side to of course
There's the sex and porn
Every dirty fantasy
With every dirty girl
Has become diseased...
You thought way to much ya know
And all thoughts might come true
From births to deaths, love and sex
The thought of killing you
Ideas never fade...
This passed through are thinkers mind
He conceived his own demise
He collapsed and just in time
Erased his thoughts with suicide.
Creative ones just go extinct...

Intense poem, very intriguing... reading gave me the sensation of being drawn inside a human brain, crawling around inside and seeing everything going on inside. The narration gets darker and more twisted... as I said, intense. Excellent imagery, excellent delivery. Fix up some grammatical errors and you've got yourself an incredible piece of writing.

Fix 'em; the typos.

Otherwise, engagingly surreal, striking range of details. One would often like to peer inside any number of skull-caves, that seething mass of intrigue, contradictions, and flashes of insight.

I get the impression reading this intriguing poem, that the thinker has simply run ahead of nature, which as mortality, is stalking, so what the hell, let's get it over with; the logic of suicide.

"Creative ones just go extinct. . ."

Darkly droll poem; sardonic wit.
