Tiny You

Tiny You

A Poem by Jeremiah Medina
"

don't ignore your children people....

"
There is two of everyone
Beneathe the singular appearance
Multiple personalities
Under every skin
Theres a child in you
Left over from the days
When everything was interesting
All life was was play
This is where your happy lives
Your sadness, anger too
Everything that you can feel
Lives in this tiny you.
Somehow you grew up though
Your brain took over then
Thoughts becoming everything
Erased imagined friends.
You've become a different you
Matured to just this age
Experience intensifies
The childs inner rage..
Don't ignore your child
Don't you let it bore
Boredom is a slow disease
That only kids can cure.

i loved this poem. "Thoughts becoming everything Erased imagined friends." & "This is where your happy lives Your sadness, anger too" my favorite lines. the rhyme scheme is consistent throughout and there is much truth to these words. although simple, this is a deep poem. good write.

Very nicely written and I enjoyed reading it! We all need to be reminded of the child within each of us. You expressed this very well, and in a creative manner that flowed gently.
