Beech Tree, Beech TreeA Poem by Jay SimsThis is poem #2 in my Journey To The Magical Realm collection. This lovely limerick was inspired by my favorite tree growing up. It held me when I had to hide from someone, protected me from the rain/Beech Tree, Beech
Tree give me a hug Make me feel warm
all nice and snug Your branches are
long, You can do no wrong Unless you are
covered in bugs
Beech Tree, Beech
Tree please block out the sun It's time for a nap,
I've had much fun Throw your branches
up high All the way to the
sky Before the windstorm
has begun
Beech Tree, Beech
Tree protect me from trolls Keep them from
tickling and nibbling my toes As mute as a swan I'll slowly climb on Don't worry I will
not impose
Beech Tree, Beech
Tree you are my best friend I'm sad that this
day has to come to an end But fear you should
not 'Cuz when it gets
hot I'll come back and
see you again! © 2017 Jay Sims |
