Killer of intuition

Killer of intuition

A Poem by Just Jayren
"

I got the idea to create this from the ideals of Ken Robinson, and his theory on education

"

Mind under house arrest

Encased within walls, doors locked, windows barred

a forever shrinking reality with an infinite amount of questions

Mind longing for greener pastures

Sitting on a golden beach next to a Jamaican playing the funde

singing ‘Mi wan see ya whine’ with an infinite sense of satisfaction

and leaving others in a quiet serenity

A yearn for a more exotic notion of freedom has its daily

passing through the imagination leaving a routinely catatonic taste

in the mouth, prayer for future rehabilitation seems a sensible

option as an emptiness is currently in existence

Yet what is left is a bare tree longing for its blossoms to bloom

and an infinite glacial drift past envious pastures

Fickle minds will fail to apprehend that it’s simply wishful thinking

as careless yawns are muttered when the time hits 4:15 and

everyone returns to their own sanctuary

I liked it. Especially the last part. Might I just sasy that in the second stanza, you said 'quite serenity'. Now, if you meant a serenity opposite to loud it's spelled 'quiet'. I really shouldn't be lecturing anyone on their spelling. I do not do it goodly :p
Really nice, eye-opener though :)

Even the most cloistered mind has its dreams; you tell of this very well...also the escape to something greener and more exotic...

Ah, the monotony of life...our mind, like an imprisoned adventurer, wanting to set out to new discovery, but chained in a cell of day to day. This is really well written, my friend. I very much enjoyed how it is poetic but still kept grounded to reality. Nice work.

we live mundane lives in a routine that our minds have no chance of expanding. there are those who contemplate this reality and desire better things, a higher state of mind or a better awareness. it sucks to see through facades and see the world is full of drones and desire escape. this is an excellent statement of the state of things. great job.
