DirectionsA Poem by Just JayrenWhen it comes to choosing what to do, people find themselves lost and too often the answer is far from the one you was expecting
My heads dire hour has arrived because I haven't seen any road signs for miles and this junction is causing my to fill up with much confusion. Yes decisions must be made, but my preparations haven't made any noticeable effect. Can you help me please? I'm asking for directions but I can't seem to hear the words their speaking. Looks like it's risk taking time.
Left or right, left or right, left or right?
Left brings me closer to you but the destination looks too close for my own comfort. Yes I will be happy but will my hightened emotions are guaranteed to be brief, and I won't want my life to change momenterally.
Right looks to be endless with the most smallest portrait of me and you. I can barely see it. It might aswell be opaque, because I'm the type to dwell within missed opportunities.
Standing motionless, as I begin to shake my head and yawn because I've been awake too long diciding what wrong road to take.
I look up, and all I can see is glass. So I grab your hand and fly because up is the only way for me and you. © 2011 Just Jayren |
