SolitudeA Poem by Just JayrenTurning my nose up at
the ludicrous notion of ‘Splendid Isolation’ Hours spent in unnecessary
limbo Picking up extra shifts
for seemingly mundane reasons Investing my wage in a
jar labelled ? Hands feeling lost Home feeling soulless Disembodied by the
concept of breathing Empty photo frames
locked away in storage Days, weeks flow
endlessly Seeking solace in
sleepless nights And caffeine fuelled
mornings Music’s lost its potent
purpose With no suitable
replacement in sight Fading in and out of
others perception with Nothing really
engrained into memory Inevitable displacement
of a disillusioned character © 2013 Just JayrenReviews
