Understanding

Understanding

A Chapter by Jason

Fine is the grass beneath my feet

Smooth is the westward wind across my face

Ancient and knowing are the mountains above me

Whispering are the trees around me

Traveling I am up the rivers mouth to find my path

I dance with the wolves in the field of fireflies

I bathe with the mighty grizzly

Soaring with the eagles and grazing with the silent white tail I begin to see meaning in my life

Watching I am the lights of thunderstorms as it creates it symphony

Peaceful are the Rain drops resting atop the awakening leaves

I have seen life now in its purest form

I cry not because I am sad

I cry because it is beautiful

Be silent now and listen to the morning’s song

Glide with the mist through the hills and valleys

Be patient with the humming bird and taste the flowers sweet nectar

Learn from the sands for they hold the molds of history

Move with the waves in unison for they carry us to new hopes

Find the strength with in the glorious oak to kneel beneath the naked blue sky

It is here that the wounds will heal and the pain transforms into understanding
