Negligent Moon

Negligent Moon

A Poem by Jay Levon

If moonlight leads lovers together,
am I the victim of a negligent moon?
Have I been cursed to stumble alone,
through midnight's black core,
in search of something tangible?
I disregard the vacant beauties,
and wait, wait, wait,
for the negligent moon to look my way.
