When dreams are just paper work

When dreams are just paper work

A Poem by Jaylan
"

Just a rebel rambling whether her life could be fiercer, bolder and more estrogen driven than it actually is?

"

If only I could fly & pierce the seventh sky,

I'd try to catch the diamond stars, the pearls that fall from comets & meteorites

If only I could sing,

I'd turn the green trees bare, the seashells void of creamy stones

If only I was eighteen, not old & cold as the wind that blows in my ears

I'd kiss that pretty boy from the neighborhood, caress his neck with my teeth

If only I could dance,

I'd make another earthquake & break the gigantic cake of rocks in the Grand Canyon

If only I was not a virgin,

I'd shag the sphinx, twist & turn its lower body with force of a hundred bloody veins

If only I could read minds,

I'd look into the eyes of that Spanish guitarist & listen to his songs about me

If only I could dream,

I'd blow a hundred blue volcanoes from pink craters in a hundred deserts

If only I could have you for myself,

I'd run away with you & never look back on my long lost track

If only this music piece was a fairytale,

I'd climb the castle & save the lonely prince locked up in the shiny tower

If only I was a hero,

I'd kiss you while I hung from my feet with no leverage to hold me

If life was a game of pitch & toss,

I'd play till my fingers go numb; I'd bet on every losing horse & rejoice in defeat

If my only my words were of any power,

I'd write a hundred massacre, a thousand love story & a couple refreshing tornadoes

If only I was strong enough,

I'd invade your nightmares & chase your demons away

If only you were mine, little boy from that private school in Xanadu

I'd never ask for the way out of your huge muscles

If only I were a reality,

I'd do what it takes to become the me; not what they want me to be

Not what you want me to be...

I really hope rebels respond to this, in my country it's hard to be a woman and think differently so I really appreciate it if you comment here and tell me what you think.
