Changing Kisses

Changing Kisses

A Poem by Jenn
"

This is the very first poem I wrote, enjoy.

"

My red luscious lips kiss yours;

you kiss back passionately.

The love we share is so strong.

Or is it?

What's this I find?

A lipstick kiss on your shirt collar?

Except this is not my shade of pink,

and what is this, a condom wrapper?

We haven't had sex in months.

I hear my heart break.

Two questions rush through my head:

Who is she and why?

You bring me roses to show your affection,

a teddy bear with a heart that reads, "I love you",

and many other gifts to show how much you care.

Now it's my turn to show you how I feel,

as I wait for you to come home.

I sit on our burgundy couch,

with a surprise waiting for you,

You open the door carrying a box of chocolate covered cherries;

Who have you done today?

You come toward me and BANG!

The gun in my hand goes off,

and a bullet punctures your deceitful heart.

Blood gushes everywhere,

but I don't care.

My heart is now whole again.

Soon, again, I will be out in the world

           searching for that special someone.
