Seasons

Seasons

A Poem by JayceeC
"

Change is inevitable

"
Seasons,
Perpetual refractions in the sunset of time,
Float along the flow of consciousness.
Specks of dust sometimes sparkle--
Mysterious crystals
Bedazzling the mind's eye.
Others are dull bits of dirt,
Barely touching down
Before they are swept away
To be discarded.
All eventually return to earth,
A miniscule portion of the whole,
Tumbling together to create life
As a new season begins...

I like how you start this poem boldly, with that oblique passing of light through face of time, and then return to us in myriads of ways, some shiny and some yet to find their glitz- or simply to be discarded.
There is no movement without change and there is always a reason within each season.

Great work gorgeous Jaycee!

Thank you :D will keep your offer in mind. I am afraid I do not know: Magill's Split
Landslide is one of my favorite songs. I have the original, I have the Smashing Pumpkins cover and, bonus, I have the Tori Amos (my favorite artist) cover.

In regards to the poem, it's a great contemplative piece. You captured the essence of change and of each moment, being dull or bright, eventually fading into something else.

I love it.. I'm living in a tropical country and we really don't have four seasons, but i can truly relate this more to the changes in our lives. I love the choice of words as well. Brilliant piece. Thank you for sharing.

I love the four seasons. I had opportunity to live in places with little cold weather. I like my Michigan. Today 65 degrees and the trees/flowers coming to life. I agree with your words. We will change. Can't be stopped. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
