On The Sea Shore

On The Sea Shore

A Poem by Jaya Das
"

A poem portraying the reality of our life....

"
Standing on the sea shore
Under the bower of my thoughts
I was struggling with myself
Couple of waves arrive and part
All urging me to give a new start.

They came with a smiling face
Washed my feet, a soothing touch
Giving the realisation of the moment
Nevertheless I stood still and numb
Sadly, they departed at their lowest ebb.

Guarded by the oblivion wall
To me , blurred image seemed all
Lost all strength to cross the fence
Of past memories and future plans
Just standing I was with futile hands.

Gone waves I couldn't get back
Upcoming was out of my reach
Knew not what would it bring
Inundated with frivolous dreams, st™od still,
Nothing I found, niether shells nor silt.

All I was left with wet feet........
All I was left with wet feet.................

This poem speaks of passing time. All the time we either think of past or make plans for future but at present we do not do anything and are thereby left with futile hands. Life is in this moment, in present and one who does actions in present indeed lives life.
