The End of the Road

The End of the Road

A Poem by Linnaea Lealla
"

Goes with a song I wrote.

"

During rehearsal I roam
Down desolate road

It stretches through time and space

It halts forever at the horizon

The storm surges yet the sky sleeps still

Until the rain's fury

Rushes down the sidewalks; like a quivering lake.

Rehearsal is over

The road plunges into the brilliant blue of the cloud dusted sky

I pack my bags and laugh at it

My hair is free and my arms open

Laughing at the infinite cloud spattered sky

Where the road finally ends.
