Universe in your Eyes

Universe in your Eyes

A Poem by Linnaea Lealla
"

Cosmic insignificance is not a bad thing; it is a beautiful thing.

"

When you see a chasm of cosmos

In the depths of a draining inkwell

When the ripples in your tea

Are the seas of the sky

And the sugar you sprinkle is worth less than any grain of salt

from the sandbanks of your sore dreams.

When you see the coils of the universe

In the iris of a gazing eye

When your simmering pot of stew

Is the belly of a star

And the flames of your stovetop strip planets of their skin

The tears of reality stream down your cheeks

Endless in every drop.

nice one, very deep, you can however make it more captivating by introducing more rhyme and rhythm features, You can also regulate the level of symbolism applied in every stanza. Thanks and all the best
