I Hate Myself and I Want to Die

I Hate Myself and I Want to Die

A Poem by The Jay

I was just an infant,
Afraid of your rant,
And I just wanna fly,
But since I can't,
So I hate myself and want to die,
My mother couldn't take the pain,
So I force myself inside her veins,
In the wait for agony,
I sat beside my map,
But the bitter lies,
Forced down my rotten soul,
Shining like a coal,
Beause I just wanna fly,
But since I can't,
So I hate myself and want to die,
My time is up,
So stop swinging my crib,
And sleep in peace once I am gone,
Beause my tale has expired,
And I have transpired,
But I've gotta let me go,
And I love myself yet I want to die,
Beause that's how I'll fly.

Loved the rhyme in the poem, it wasn't too much or too little, you balanced it just right. My favorite line is "So I force myself inside her veins". I can't imagine actually doing that, but it shows how much angst is there.
