It pays to speak up

So As I often do, I contacted the company that was being spammed for, in this case, Swiggy. Many of the companies strop the spamming, but in this case I got a very nice letter from the president.  If you live in India, and prize companies who care about their customers, this is one of them. The letter:

Plus, your behavior is not only encouraged, it is mandated to even post/join!
So why stir up all this trouble, if you TRULY aim only to help less fortunate writers than yourself...
Pages that writers actually ASK for your critiques exist! GO TO THEM!
It might just be one of the MOST PRODUCTIVE ways you could go about doing... Whatever it is you believe in your heart of hearts you are accomplishing by trolling new writers on a dead poetry site.

40 posts and counting. You spent hours visiting every spam post I commented on, many of them 5 years old, deluding yourself into thinking that anyone cares what you say in a spam thread, least of all me.

The amazing this is that you are so obsessed with me, and so blinded by anger that you don't realize that I'll not see them. The hoursyou spend on this yield nothing by a bunch of emails from this site telling me that you wasted another minute seeking out sopam I commented on

I will admit that at first I was feeling sorry for you, and wishing that you'd get help. I hate to see someone suffer as you are. But in the end, you bring it on, deliberately.

You have the power to fix the problem. You can take steps to learn the skills of the poet. You can get help with your depression.

But now, every few minutes I get mail from the site, which I will delete all at once.

And if you do read this, and comment, I'll never know it, mostly because it's so unimaginative. Same s**t, different thread.

And if you expect me to block you from this thread that won't happen, because the thread you're hijacking is that of a spammer. So you're doing a good thing...except:

Good morning. I read your review on PART 8 FAVOR WITH GOD AND MAN or rather as to why during this pandemic we haven't heard of healings in respect to such. It's possible there has been some but not necessarily on a mass scale. While I still believe God heals people physically, I believe that His main focus is on inward healing.
Do you have regrets, disappointments, attitudes of jealousy, hatred, fear, toward others, addictions, etc. God wants to help each and every one of us learn how to no longer be in continual subjection to these poisonous occupations in our minds, words, and actions. He wants to give us a new nature, a new mind, new thoughts, and a new purpose for living. Unlike physical healing, this is available to each person.
You might be thinking, another trick? What must I do or buy for my life to totally change?
This simply requires a response from you, that's it.
What response?
I am a sinner who would like a new nature. I believe in this God-man named Jesus who pre-existed time, came to earth being born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for me having forgiven me of all my sins, rose again, after three day and ascended into heaven. This prayer results in God coming into my life to indwell. He is called the Holy Spirit. Thank you for this new nature. Show yourself to me in your time and manner. Amen.

You're right. Jay is racist and misogynistic... but unless he puts it out specifically for example we have to hold back. I've busted him before for being a bigot but... I don't know... people here don't seem to really mind on that level. I think they like watching the show... no one actually respects Jay or his spamalot account... but it is something. The best way to get rid of "users"losers like Jay is to expand the regular user base.

I honestly just enjoy taking out the extra angst I have at the moment as I complete my physical therapy to fix this shattered humerus.

But honestly it also feels like I am picking on a senile dude who just wants to troll kids in peace, and I can respect that.

There is about 400 regular users who check in per day... on weekends closer to 7-800. These are not bad numbers for a site that specializes in poetry. There are a lot of good writers here if you look.

I have dabbled with the thought of putting more energy into this site's new poets again, maybe that would be the positive choice to make in lieu of wasting my time with the dusty trolls...
