Words Unspoken (Rodrick age 10 & Emona age 9)

Two people meet each other again but that causes more harm than good

-Blackheart Kingdom, Marketplace, Third Person P.O.V-

Rodrick Pensworth, the young new butler of the Blackheart Twins, was ordered by King Henry to find his two sons who managed to get out of the castle again. His pale blue eyes scanned the buzzing crowd looking for the young princes. Some people watched the young boy as he flew in the air. 

“Are you lost, little boy?” someone asked him 

“I’m looking for two boys about my age” he says landing next to the person 

“Oh I just saw two boys run by come on I’ll show you where I last saw them” they walked towards a dark alleyway 

“They’re down here?” Rodrick asked 

“Indeed they are kid” 

“Where could they be?” he asked as he looked around 

A looming shadow appeared behind Rodricks as they reached out to grab him but someone else was walking down the alley as Rodrick turned around. 

“Lady Eliza?” a girl called out as she look walked down the alleyway 

“You” Rodrick says in a angry voice 

“Oh it's you. Have you seen a girl with white hair come by?” she asked completely ignoring the person who was about to grab Rodrick 

“What no. I have my own problems to deal with stray” he says crossing his arms 

“Well isn’t this my lucky day. I get to grab two kids, you two will get me some nice money. A vampire kid and a hybrid feline” they say as they held rope in one hand 

“Actually I’m a fairy” he says 

“And I’m leaving” the girl says as she tries to walk past them

They blocked her way and tried to grab her but she pulled out a knife from her pocket and stabbed his right leg causing them to cry out in pain. 

“You little b***h!” they yelled out reaching down to hit her only to be hit by a small pillar of rock 

“Do you respond to everything with violence?” he asked looking down at the girl as she whipped the blood off the blade with the persons shirt

“No because you would have been killed the moment I met you” she says putting the blade away 

“Yeah whatever” he made the pillar return into the ground 

“I’m glad you’re okay” she says as her ears perked up 

He glared at the girl with a lot of anger causing her ears to flattened on her head showing she was  a bit scared. Her eyes glowed in the dark since she was still standing more in the dark than Rodrick. 

“You left me to die” he says harshly 

“I didn’t have a choice Rodrick” she took a step forward 

“You could have done something to help me instead of running away” he yelled out 

Her pupils narrowed and her ears turned upright “You could have done something too when you were caught but instead you did nothing”

“Yeah because I was caught! You weren’t, you ran like the coward cat that you are!” 

“Coward! You call me a coward when she couldn’t even bring yourself to harm those that harmed and threatened you like Ratface, you’re more of a scaredy cat than I will ever be! I tried to come back to save you but I was caught too by the Sakuria family and just like you I work for them now” she yelled

“I’m leaving. I can’t stand to look at you any longer” he says turning his back towards her 

“Rodrick is that you down here?” a silver haired boy says 

“What are you doing down here by yourself?” a boy with orange eyes asked 

“I’m not by myself, someone else is here too?” he turned around to face the girl only see that no one was there 

“Um no one is here Ricky” the boy second boy says   

“Wait a minute. Where have you two been this whole time!” Rodrick looked at them annoyed 

“Ummmmmmm we were exploring the marketplace” 

“James we both know that's a lie. Where is it” he crossed his arms  

“I didn't do anything” James whined 

“I know you didn’t i was talking to your brother” Rodrick looked at the silver haired boy 

“I got destroyed because I got mad at it not coming out the way I wanted it too” he says holding out a core 

“What in the heavens were you trying to make?”

“A robot that I can control on the inside” 

Rodrick rubbed the bridge of his nose “Why would you… nevermind. Lets go, your father is waiting for you two” 

“Oh no moms going to kill us” James says 

“Not me, only you two. I’m doing my best at this job because I would like to live” Rodrick walked the two boys back to castle 

Rodrick remained silent as the twins walked, he was thinking about the interaction with the girl from earlier. He wanted to reach out to stop her to apologize but he knew what he said couldn’t be taken back. The damage is done and now he lost the first friend he had thanks to his sharp tongue. He knew he shouldn’t have been angry at her but he still was anyways. She was right but so was he, they were both cowards.
