Summoned, Summons, Summons (Age 12)

The Princess and Prince of the Dragonheart Kingdom play a harmless game of hide and seek but it goes wrong

“Liammmm~” Lori’ana sang as she searched her brother 

They were playing hide and seek in the forest near the palace garden. Liam was hiding in a tree. His black hair was slicked back to prevent his hair from getting in his face. His cherry red eyes were looking around at the ground below. On his chest was a quarter size black symbol of a Phoenix entwined with fire and darkness. He was always a rather quiet boy but he was very intelligent in fighting strategies and weapons. Lori'ana on the other hand was looking through some bushes for Liam. Her waist long black hair was covered in leaves and twigs. Her sparkling sapphire blue eyes were full of excitement. On her left arm was a symbol of a dragon entwined with fire and was surrounded by a light black to symbol light. She was often  happy about everything and was a very good healer. 

Liam rubbed his chest with his hand. Since earlier that morning his chest has been giving him a burning pain. He ignored the pain as he finished his studies early. When Lori wanted to play hide and seek, he agreed to play with her. 

“Dang it. I lost her” he says softly as he looked around for her

Liam's keen eyes sweep across the ground. He jumped from tree to tree silently making little to no noise. When he looked around and saw nothing again he sighed slightly. 

“FOUND YOU!” Lori'ana yelled as she hung upside down by her legs from a tree branch in front of Liam

“WOAH!!” He said as he fell out of the tree and onto the ground on his back 

“Liam! Oh my gods are you okay!” She asked as she climbed out of the tree

Liam groaned in pain as she sat up “I'm fine sis I just got a scratch on my arm” 

“I'll heal you then” she said as she placed her hand on the scratch on his arm

Her hand glowed a royal blue as the scratch began to disappear until it wasn't there anymore. 

“Ummmm thanks sis but it was just a scratch” he said standing up 

“And….  My job is to take care of my little brother “ Lori says hugging him

“You're only 7 minutes older than me “ Liam said not hugging back but rubbing his chest again 

“You sure you're okay Liam. You've been rubbing your chest all morning even during dad's war strategy lecture. You love those lectures.” 

“I don't know but my mark has been burning all morning and it's very annoying “ 

Suddenly there was an ear piercing roar. The twins covered their ears and groaned in pain. The ground rumbled beneath them as trees fell a few hundred yards away and they backed into a tree. The beast emerged through the tree line. It was massive in size, about the size of two school buses, navy blue, its red eyes shined with bloodlust, and it's mouth had foam and spit around it. Once it caught sight of them, it whipped its tail out towards them knocking down more trees and trapping them. 

“Dang it it's trying to trap us!” Liam yelled out 

They tried to lift up the oak with their strength but they weren't strong enough. Suddenly Liam started to cough violently and almost collapsed to the floor. 

“Liam! What's wrong?!” Lori shouted as she moved them out of the way from the dragons blue flames. 

“I…. Don't……. Know” he coughed out 

Liam's mark began to glow red and the symbol on his chest enlarged right in front of them as the dragon tried to kill them with fire again but they were protected by a shield that appeared in front of them.

“What in the world is that!” Lori yelled in amazement and confusion.

“I don't know but I feel much better now” Liam said standing up

His hair was a mess now and half of it was in his face. The dragon tried to rip them to shreds but it was stopped by a large armored knight that emerged out of his mark. It had a sword and shield, its wings were covered in armor, and it was about the size of the dragon. The knight and dragon started fighting while the twins watched, amazed and scared at the same time. It seemed like the dragon was going to win when it ripped it's claws into the Knight's leg. Liam also took a hit and ended up kneeling to the ground with a hand on his now bleeding leg. The dragon then lunged to crunch it's sharp teeth on the knight’s head, when a blast of red energy hit the dragon in the face. Knocking it down in the process. 

A man wearing a black and gray outfit flew down in front of the twins. His black hair was much messier than Liam's and his eyes were as red as a ruby. His skin was a sandy color and seemed to gleam in the sun. This is Michael Dragonheart, the king of Dragonheart and the twins’ father. 

“Lori'ana, Liam are you two okay?” He asked, looking at them never turning his back to the dragon.

“Liam started to bleed from his leg when the dragon hit the knight.” Lori said hauling Liam up with his arm over 

“I know you can heal his injuries Lori. Liam I need you to retreat your summon so you don't get anymore damage. I can handle this.” Michael said 

Liam reluctantly nodded his head and held his hand out towards the knight. The knight touched his hand and disappeared in a puff of red smoke. The mark on his chest glowed red as Lori moved him behind a tree to heal him. Michael then started to fight the dragon, and shifted into one. He was the same size as the dragon, grey as smoke, and his tucked in wings were grey like dull metal. His eyes were red as he bit into the dragon’s neck. It roared in pain and blew it's bright blue flames at Michael’s back. Michael roared in pain and let go of the beast.

“Dad!” Lori yelled 

Her mark started to glow a bright blue on her arm until it enlarged in front of her. A huge Amazon robot appeared. It held a sword in one hand and nothing in the other. It's armor was like what the Amazons wore and it wore a tiara-like crown on her head with wings on the side. The dragon charged at it but the Amazon simply leaped up into the air and thrusted it's sword down into the dragon’s back. It fell to the floor barely clinging to life. 

Michael shifted back to normal and ran to his kids still concerned about their safety over his. His shirt was burned off and his back was still smoking from the flame attack but he was okay since dragons are tough. 

“Are you two okay?” He asked looking at his kids

“I'm fine dad” Liam said looking at his now healed leg.

His pants were torn and he had three scars on his leg from the wound. Lori looked at the Amazon in front of her “Well um…. Thanks for the help” 

The woman smiled and touched Lori'ana's head before disappearing into a puff of blue smoke. Her mark had a faint blue glow to it. 

As the three started to leave, Lori couldn't help but notice a hooded figure standing behind some trees watching them with a slight grin on its face. She shook it off thinking her eyes were playing tricks on her because when she looked again the figure was gone. 

“Well I suppose that's one way to discover your summon.” Michael said sighing 

“That's why my mark was hurting!” Liam shouted annoyed 

“Yeah, I knew you'd get yours first because you've been rubbing your chest all morning plus you mark was flashing like a beacon.” Michael said 

“Then why didn't I feel pain in my arm then papa?” Lori asked 

“Well it's different for everyone Lori. Yours came out in a dire need to save others while Liam's forced itself to come out to protect its owner. Mine came out because I wanted it to.” He said walking 

“Ohhhhhhh” the twins exclaimed 

“I was supposed to be keeping an eye on you but I um… got busy” he said rubbing the back of his neck

Truth to be told, Michael fell asleep when they were playing hide and seek. But he was too embarrassed to say that in front of his children or his wife.
