The Outcasts and Rodrick (Ages 6 months and between 15-18)

A group of teenage outcasts find a young baby in an abandoned house and are trying to figure out how to deal with the infant

The Outlands, one of the most dangerous place on Myarth. Not many people go there unless they seek adventure or if they're lost. Thieves and rogue creatures thrive there, it's no place for children but deep underground was a nice big caven which was home to a group of thieves called the Outcasts. They're a group of four that steal or hunt for money. Erica was their leader, or so to say. She was tall, had blue skin (which she can change at will), red eyes, short pink hair, and slightly pointed ears. On her cheek was a red symbol and by her eye was a vertical scar. She was a Water Elf that has great control over ice and water. Bruce was second in command, he was much, much shorter than Erica, had blonde hair, hazel eyes, and he had a scar on his cheek. Bruce was a Divine Earth Dwarf and had great control of Earth and Holy magic. Cyfer was the adviser of the group and is very nonchalant. He had a red symbol on his forehead, light brown hair, and orange eyes. He was a Matter Fire Vampire and he had control over Dark Fire and Future Vision. Then there was Brixen, she was the youngest in the group and was the wild card most of the time. She had pale blue eyes and royal purple hair that was always in two pigtails. She was a Matter Water Fox and was excellent in Illusion and Snow magic. Together they were like a family.

The Outcasts were kind of like a group of mercenaries or thieves but today they were huddled together, not planning their next heist or job but staring at the baby that they found in an abandoned home earlier that day…..

“Do we even know how to take care of a baby?” Bruce asked looking at the baby boy in the blanket

“Um no” Brixen said as she picked him up

“I know how to“ Cyfer said raising his hand

“WHAT!?! HOW?” Bruce and Brixen yelled

“I have a way with children.“ he said shrugging

“I do as well” Erica said

“You're joking” Brixen said putting the boy down

“No I’m not“ Erica said

The baby cooed and suddenly shrank. The four looked at each other then at the blanket and saw a bright light blue light in the center of the blanket.

“WHAT THE HELL!” Bruce yelled taking a step back

“OH MY GODS!” Brixen yelled

While Bruce and Brixen were panicking, Erica and Cyfer looked at the blanket and the light. The blanket moved as a tiny fairy was seen.

“Guys he's okay” Erica said and picked up the fairy and blanket.

“Oh dear gods, he's a fairy” Brixen said

“Oh man. We have our work cut out for us” Bruce said crossing his arms.

Erica held Rodrick and he turned back into a baby. He laughed and grabbed the jewel on Erica's neck.

“oh no no no Rodrick. You can't have this” Erica said moving the jewel out of grabbing hands

Rodrick whined a bit before he started to cry. Bruce and Brixen looked at Erica in a way to say “this is your fault fix it”. Bruce then thought of something to soothe the crying child.

“Here you go Rodrick” Bruce said as he gave him a rattle made of rock with some small jewels inside.

When the baby shook the rattle, the jewels inside made a noise and Rodrick laughed happily and shook it again. Erica put him down on his blanket and smiled at him as he was entertained.

“Is it just me or does the air feel fresh “ Erica said

“I agree it's like we're outside. Bruce, did you leave a way in somewhere?“ Brixen asked

“No, I did not. I made sure that we're safe “ He said

“Yeah I would have known if there was an entrance somewhere that could leave us exposed” Cyfer said

“I think it's coming from Rodrick” Erica said

When the four looked at Rodrick, he wasn't on the ground anymore.

“Where did he go? And why is it so quiet now?” Bruce asked

Suddenly a jewel fell from the ceiling and hit Bruce's head. They all looked up and saw Rodrick floating in the air with a jewel in his tiny hands.

“RODRICK!” everyone yelled

Rodrick cooed happily at them and Brixen jumped up about 10-15 feet to grab him. The other three went to her and Rodrick to check on them.

“So he can control earth as well“ Bruce said crossing his arms looking at Rodrick

“We have our work cut out for us don’t we” Brixen said laughing
