I feel so high and alive

Even in nightmares, I begin to thrive

Or is it just self-preservation

Cause they say you can die in real life

And now we turn to old-fashioned heartbreak

I'll write this tired rhyme for my own sake

I've got this feeling

Whisky is all that I need to get by

Or maybe another shot of rum

I might be drunk with love

Or just getting high

Her smile lights up the room

Or maybe it's just the moon

Is it a sparkle or a flash grenade?

Either way I refuse to serenade

I just sense we're breaking up

And I'll drink again to Lady Luck

Another woman I can push away

Set my memories to erase

And now we're crying ourselves to sleep

I'll collapse into a quivering heap
