PathwaysA Poem by JayJayBlueAbout finding and being with someone as flawed as yourself
This is just another troubled time
Our hearts struggle to keep a rhythm And our heads fall into a concussed love The tide forces us closer together And we'll keep on with barely living Who knows in what direction this'll lead? My hands interlocked in yours feels right And our souls, all damaged and flawed Will interweave and slowly change Caught between worlds tonight In strange pathways our fates are sewn And I know I have to be with you Let's smile and tear down the castle walls And call each other's hearts home And we are nothing but tortured hearts Conquering the towers in our own way Who are we but two cracked mirrors We reflect all that we hate But I'm in love with the tainted image Are we pushing everyone else aside? All that we are is defined by confusion There's no way this can end without sorrow But I just wanna go along with the ride This love is a conflict we're losing In strange pathways our fates are sewn And I know I have to be with you Let's smile and tear down the castle walls And call each other's hearts home © 2014 JayJayBlue |
