The Zero PointA Poem by JayJayBlueAbout the inevitability and acceptance of death
All lines lead to death
The threads of fate stained with blood My heartbeat synchronises with the end of days And all I can do is look at the void Before everything I've created Is pulled into the event horizon And finally destroyed So where are the stars? Fading out one at a time My life is nothing but a spider web Pulled apart before my eyes So here is to the reaper's final victory As my pulse slows down to the zero point Each breath a battle I'm slowly losing There's no joy or sorrow No pain, no relief or misery As the gloom comes drawing in The colour turns to mere black and white Like I'm watching films from older decades Nothing is eternal, only a show The flag of surrender unfurled again For another departing soul Am I destined for heaven or below? And the sun is muted now I'm seeing things through a mere veil The ships are heading towards the final shore Beginning to set sail So here is to the reaper's final victory As my pulse slows down to the zero point Each breath a battle I'm slowly losing There's no joy or sorrow No pain, no relief or misery © 2014 JayJayBlue |
