All Empty WordsA Poem by JayJayBlueAn attack on how people use sorrow or fear on social media for the advancement of receiving sympathyShow your face Air-brushed and glorious to the world We all claim to be different But the truth that we seek Is wearing black doesn't make you unique Now take another photo But only in the right light Erase the last of your flaws We're just broken in real life Who really cares for any trend? Or they're just some lyrics you may have heard We're all much uglier Than we'd like to pretend Explain your emotions Tears pre-shed ready for sympathy And a token morose gesture But the truth that we seek Is that sorrow doesn't make you unique Now write down your hopes And shows us all your fears You don't really want to run You never wanted to disappear I'm sure the cryptic messages are just empty words Who really cares for any trend? Or they're just some lyrics you may have heard We're all much uglier Than we'd like to pretend So where do we go now What do we think of the black out Write it down for the future Just express your sorrows to the rest
