A Power In My Hands (The Tide and The Throne)A Poem by JayJayBlueAbout persevering through a troubled life and reaping the rewards at the end
I lost everything on the long drive
As the winter withdraws and summer unwinds I'll stay clear of the clouds behind me But the road ahead is worth the fear I'm watching the fields roll past The horizon is shrinking slowly at last I dream of the moment I'm running on the sands The world alone and only mine Resting in the palms of my hands Maybe I'll escape with the rest of the hive As my thoughts come alive, in overdrive I'm spending the time wishing for the end But for now I'll be weightless I'm watching the sun slowly set But the end isn't here yet I dream of the moment I'm running on the sands The world alone and only mine Resting in the palms of my hands Here I feel the sea breeze drift across And now I'm sure I'm beyond the storm Can I enter paradise, become reborn? I 've never felt like this before I've now found the moment The feel of my feet on the sands The ocean, my throne and now mine Power in the palms of my hands © 2014 JayJayBlueReviews
