Beligerence And BravadoA Poem by JayJayBlueHow people feel they need to prove a point by bullying people they see as victims
I feel your anger upon me like a solar wind
Fists clenched and posture tuned to aggression Vicious words spat out with false bravado Targeting me like we're in purgatory Blaming me for your own sins I sense your presence ever unwelcome I roll my eyes at the repetition Of an already tired routine worn thin Spinning your anger on a vague story All sense abandoned, all logic undone Soak yourself in whiskey and disgrace Lose all of your friends Parade your strength to impress no-one A snarl twisted upon your face Lost in a red fog, who really cares Your burning up with belligerence As you sacrifice your intelligence Falling from the top Judged guilty by hostile stares Your hunger for war is longing to escape I'm quickly losing the mood for redemption I'm never hostile, but you're an exception Let's turn away before it's too late And before we damage our fates Soak yourself in whiskey and disgrace Lose all of your friends Parade your strength to impress no-one A snarl twisted upon your face © 2013 JayJayBlueReviews
