Legacy Of PainA Poem by JayJayBlueHow people feel the need to put themselves on a pedestal and reduce the value of everyone else to zeroThere you are, stood huddled together The tables are shields, shutting everybody out And there you stood, rather facing the weather Than laying to rest, the ghosts of all my doubts
What do you say? Leaving me a legacy of pain What do you say? They never liked me anyway
All aloof, stood higher than the rest And still she justifies your actions Putting my sleeping patience to the test As I watch my friends align themselves to factions
What do you say? Leaving me a legacy of pain What do you say? They never liked me anyway
So where do we go from here I know the history and I can see only pain All of my valiant efforts, doomed in vain She is my angel, and the sum of all my fears
What do you say? Leaving me a legacy of pain What do you say? They never liked me anyway
