Time to Project

A little about finding the desire to write poetry

I’m introverting what I’m viewing
Out of a respect for your feelings

Ya I’ve got an opinion
But maybe I’ve yet to finish it

And anything in production
Is at risk of deconstruction

Besides no one needs to restate the obvious
So let’s keep this anonymous

I’ll move with the form of a chess piece
Only dance as long as you’re not watching me

Containment leads a certain satisfaction
Knowing I haven’t broken you into factions

But that stride lacks any rhythm
Can’t glide to a tired hymn

It’s hard enough to try to make sense of where we are
Without trying to paint my idea of art

So I’ll lean in and take the hit
If I’ve got something to say then I’ll say it
