Sunrise

I don’t deny your faith
I’m lost I feel the same
We both woke up one day
Trying to make sense of this place
So if you need a story, a guiding light
You won’t find me trying to change your mind
But I think where we differ is the present time
To you a stepping stone to a better life
I look out and see the sun on the ocean
And wonder where you think you’re going
We both know sometimes it’s harsh
But that’s the beauty of this work of art
Pain means you once felt joy
To have a sense of loss
If there’s things we want to avoid
Find thanks for the slim chance to feel what we come across
So on Sunday I wish you well
I’ll say a prayer
Keep me in thought
Let’s just not forget where we are

It's an age old saying, "without pain, how would we know joy?"
Although I disagree.. Do we really need to feel pain to feel the beauty of joy? To me, its like we appreciate joy more when we've been through pain.. But you can not deny its individuality...

This is a good piece, emanating a hope within..
