Mommy Please

Mommy Please

A Poem by Jaxson Phoenix

Mommy please don't yell
I don't know what to do
I am just a little boy
Who couldn't tie his shoe

Mommy please don't yell
I didn't mean to touch
I am just a little boy
And liked it very much

Mommy please don't yell
I promise I won't speak
I am just a little boy
I swear I'll keep my seat

Mommy please don't yell
When I ask for food to eat
I am just a little boy
The stove I cannot reach

Mommy please don't yell
Whenever I play too loud
I am just a little boy
Who wants you to be proud

Mommy please don't yell
At everything I do
I am just a little boy
Who wants to be like you

Mommy please don't yell
When I don't know what to say
I am just a little boy
Who's trying to find his way

Very compelling piece! The innocence of children should never be mistreated. There is nothing more pure than a child's heart. I love your poetry.

This is beautiful again. I love it very much. Your soul has definitely stayed young. This work is wonderfully done to the point of really hearing the little child say these words. The rhythmic and rhyme are perfect. Great job!!! Could be a song ...
