Would You Notice?

Would You Notice?

A Poem by Jaxson Phoenix

This photo-negative slice
in hues of black and gray,
represents a life,
that's sadly gone astray.

Walking in the darkness,
alone and full of doubts.
A heart so dark and lonely,
is unable to cry out.

Poor decisions made,
Their course now firmly set;
lead me down this road
of heartache and regret.

Blind am I, to their eyes.
I wonder if they'll see,
when I step off this curb
so that bus will set me free.

Drifting now, above this scene,
in flashing lights of red.
My shell I leave behind
unable to turn a head.

A very sad and profound piece of loneliness and self doubt. Someone who could not keep up the pace of our nowadays society! A society who doesn't care for people not swimming with the stream. Fools they are. Too late they'll open their eyes ...

A well written piece which kreeps under ones skin, provokes some images and thoughts. Thumb up!
