"Thunder"

"Thunder"

A Poem by Jaweena...Eileen Quintana
"

Haiku about thunderstorm.

"

Thunder rumbles deep

Lightning flash down canyon walls

the gods have spoken!

I took a drive on Nebo loop yesterday, over the mountain range that sits south of my home. Coming back down the steep mountain trail I hit the most spectacular thunderstorm I have ever gone through! Magnificent! I was humbled.

There is a powerful confession in your words.. the realization that life is so much bigger... that there is more than we can see or feel. Such wonders are often lost when we hide ourselves inside and close the blinds.. We must breathe in this glory and know it calls to us.

White light surrounds me, as the lightning strikes near me... I hear no thunder.

I appreciate thunderstorms... and survive them at the same time. Beautifully written haiku. Thank you for the privilege of reading your work.

The power of nature can create life and can destroy cities in second. I like the description of thunder. Thank you for the amazing poem.

So many ways does nature talk to us..the old gods reflecting all in a raindrop from a storm that talks to all, another powerful piece here, your writing makes me feel so alive and graced to know we are led by nature, if only we listen!
