desert beauty

desert beauty

A Poem by Jaweena...Eileen Quintana
"

observing desert life come alive as rain pours down.

"

fragrant sweet grass grow

drenched in summer monsoon

tassels dance in wind

Lovely Jaweena:)

You speak of things that few know and understand! You speak of a love of nature and not of man. Few can see the beauty of a blade of grass. Only, looking past it to something worldly that can't last. I love your poem and I love your heart!!

it has been raining every evening the last week, very green and beautiful here. Pretty soon we will be going out to the Northern Ute rez to Sundance. I am looking forward to camping out! We will have lots of sweet grass this year!

I have sweet grass in my yard. The wild rabbits come in the night and eat. Sometime I watch them. In a few words you create a good vision. A excellent poem.

It doen't rain, but it pours. This is something that we would say in the desert in California, and I know that it also can be said about Utah. Isn't it amazing when the desert blooms, from all that brown and then all of a sudden, like a blink of an eye, colors galor!!! Sweet and to the point. I liked it!!

I smile and envision happy desert grass after the summer rain. I am looking forward to the rain, saw a monsoon cloud forming in the sky today, the first one this year. Perfect time for your poem.
