Wind Song

Wind Song

A Poem by Jaweena...Eileen Quintana
"

Listen! What do you hear?

"

Wind Song

Diyin Niyol

Holy Wind

I hear your song in the canyon!

The leaves

sway

flutter

and dip

to your Wind Song…

may I do likewise!

Dance to its poetic composition

Enveloped and mesmerized

Captured

within its spell,

pondering its message.

Spurred by the rhythm

and movement

in Hozho...

like the trees

that dance

within this quiet canyon.

I loved the poetry my dear friend. I use to free-climb any mountain near. I loved to watch the hawks dance in the sky and feel the free wind. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. I hope you are doing well and being healthy.

Hozho (Navajo) means happiness, peace, positivity, tranquility, order and balance. It is a state of being.

I've always believed the wind speaks to us. The way it rustles through a canopy of trees, cascading leaves. I would love to learn more about the Navajo people. I hope you exhibit more through your poetry!

Yes, "captured within its spell" I was. Loved the flow (though I'm a bit bias, being a wind lover),
and something that pulls me not just in, but through to the other side.

Thanks for sharing
