Your Words

Your Words

A Poem by Cjb

The words you say are addictive
The words you say are my drug
You are my dealer
You give me what I want, when I want without question.
The images of us are just hallucinations from the packages you deliver in the abundances of clusters of stars.
I would rather believe the hallucinations from this high
Than to realize every word you say is a lie.

Your words are my novicane
Numbing every rational thought in my brain.
The words you say are your drug.
The rush of lying sends chills down your spine.

As we both reap the benefits of these deals.
We are both oblivious to the fact it
It kills us slowly with each passing word.
