Words and Fear

Words and Fear

A Poem by Java
"

A poem to help personificate humanity as a whole, aliking humans to ants with self-awareness. Read the first letter of each line

"
What are we all here for,
On this Earth we are mere metaphors,
Rock solid foundations can drop at any moment,
Damn there's really no reason to care,
Save our souls 'fore death is inevitable

Air keeps us alive for less than a century,
Not prepared to admit our soon faith,
Dashing through time toward the inevitable

Freaks of nature,
Ears listen for danger,
Ants with self-awareness,
Run from the inevitable

I fear the self aware ants are going to find all too soon that there's no running from the Reaper. He's one persistent bugger.

Yeah, if we're the ants then he's the annoying little kid trying to stamp on all the ants.
