StuntedA Poem by JasparWhere is my family? Now that I'm alone they don't come around. They don't want to be reminded of the pain I feel. They can't accept their failures. They speak so loudly without a sound. My friends took your place. The few that I have. They listen without judgement. Comforting me with their words. Where was the guidance that children deserve. Where was the love that I so desperately needed. Searching for a moment, a choice that could have changed everything. Is it my fault that I wasn't prepared? No directions or road maps no notes to compare. No signs to show me what's wrong or right. Sex for fun didn't pay off for me. Born and forgotten now go raise yourself. I really could have used some of your help. Now out on a ledge I contemplate death. Anxious regrets and a life of contempt. I'm a product of mom, I'm a product of dad. Lost without guidance I'm just half a man. -Jaspar © 2015 JasparFeatured Review
