Curtain Call

Curtain Call

A Poem by Jaspar

When will it stop, this reeling of the mind?
Why can't I escape myself?
Follow the crumbs, I'm leaving a trail.
Slowly shutting down.
My will fades as the pressure grows.
Take it from me.
If only I was someone else, something else.
Can you hear the pain?
My voice shakes as the tears erupt.
I lost myself.
The curtain calls to me to take a bow.

Powerful work Jaspar, very emotional. I love the way this reads and the imagery of desperation it conjures up in the mind. "Can you hear the pain? My voice shakes as the tears erupt" is my favourite part. It makes me feel like all the feelings were being kept inside and by the time the were released it was an eruption like a volcano of emotions. One of my favourites of yours I think :)

I like the imagery and flow here. Your choice of words paints the emotions contained within clearly. Great work.
