Use Once and Destroy

Existential conundrum

Use Once and Destroy

It starts with joy and ends with pain.
Chills turn to needles, the sickness begins.
The two become one.
As soon as the transformation takes,
the cells begin to divide and the schism grows.
Slowly the whole begins to break down.
The rejected cell degrades, forcing the devolution.
Stripping the cell of all nutrition and power,
Preparing it, for the resurrection.
Days, months, a trillion years in the making.
Evolving it into something else.
Something stronger than it was.
Eons pass as the transformation comes to an end,
The cell is stronger but it will happen again.
The one will become two, the two will become one,
and the cycle of degradation will begin a new.
