Time is an unkempt valley

Time is an unkempt valley

A Poem by J.L.Marcus
"

A discussion of Time and Immortality in Common Meter in the style of Emily Dickinson

"

Time is but an unkempt valley,

Unrelenting father,

Time- A continuous river

Without mouth nor answer.

Eternity: is a long time,

But time is not your friend

Time can escape you, you not it,

You'll meet him at the end.

Sail down to the Fountain of Youth

Drink the Oasis dry.

Immortality awaits you,

Just look into my eyes.

An interesting constellation!
'an unkempt valley' strewn with lost souls...?
We float through time... until we eventually drown...

I'm too far away to 'look into [your] eyes', so I'll just have to settle for ortality.. ;-)
Nice poem
