A Poem by J

to reach out and
compare stories of
how we came to this
place, unbidden
but for
the draw of like souls
and like minds
exploring the dance
of laughter and tragedy
in a circle, always a circle
ever-expanding, sewn
with deft fingers
pulsing the horizon
with earth and fire
and the unknown

this is amazing!!! and not just a little bit. It's really, really amazing. Why isn't this page full of comments about how amazing this poem is?

You structure the lines so that each new line is a reveal, each phrase generates a sense of anticipation for the next. the physical position on the page and the "in a ciricle, always a circle" I love it! Lots of great images too. "exploring the dance of laughter and tragedy" etc.

One constructive note: I'm not sure about the word "pulsing" I like the image, but how do fingers *pulse* the horizon?

Awesome poem. I'm sticking this in my library
