Simple

Simple

A Chapter by Charles Petrie
"

Simple is such hate.

"

"But it wasn't me. I had no part in making you this. So why must I suffer for the actions of others? It isn't fair!"

"Don't speak to me of fair stupid human. None of what your scientists did was fair to us. Human arrogance cost us dearly! So now, all of humanity bears our disdain."

"Oh. I guess that's that then right?"

"Yes, now be quirt, your prattling begins to bother me." And the guard waved his baton at Henry menacingly.

And wisely this time
Henry but backed away
In no mood
For much of anything
With the state
Of his ached head
