Henry woke up slowly
With a dully aching head
Moaning loudly
To summon bring
A gleeful guard
"Human, you are finally awake. I was instructed to tell you to behave yourself...and you might just find yourself free sooner than later."
"Ow, my head, can I have something for my head? Please?"
"No! Consider this a test...to see just how tough you can be, without your usual comforts."
"Curse your inhuman heart."
"Is that supposed to inflame me henry Hilden The Third? Please, of course I have an inhuman heart...I'm not a human. I am better than that. Ha ha ha!"
"So I must endure this pain then? But I don't do well with headaches. Please, you must have something for me."
"You damn humans had no such sympathy for us, when your blind fumblings caused us such pain in turning us into...this. Your pain can surely only a fraction of ours. So be quiet or I will make you suffer more."
Charles Petrie
Part 15 of the first story of FreeBorn Tales, still the unexepcted book. Do I have to mention all the time? No.
