"Noerdeber..."
Beredin interrupted him with a sharp slap across the face. "Noerdeber knows exactly what I am and what I do Kobus...and he accepts me. I take the most risks of any of us and you...what risks have you ever taken Kobus? None, so be silent and safe, while I and a few others do the the real work to keep us alive and well."
And the fists of his elder
So tightly clenched then
You would think
That any harder so
That blood would out and pour
But that was all
His showing of anger
That Kobus made
To the younger bold
"I thought so Kobus...you're too much of a scared rabbit to ever do something close to risky. You have your little duties and you are happy with them. You would die of fright in the great outside. Ha ha ha Kobus!"
"What I do is important Beredin. And though I am quiet as you say, I also do not invite danger into our very home."
Beredin snapped and grabbed Kobus by the neck, holding him up high. "You know Kobus, I could snap your neck and still not be punished as you would dare hope. Think about that as I decide whether you are worth the trouble."
"At least you admit that it would cause you trouble Beredin, that is...progress."
And there appeared
Another rabbit
But whiskers shorter
Than his getter best
Black as midnight
And muscled the same
The leader himself
Noerdeber The Brave
"Of course Noerdeber." Beredin dropped Kobus on the grass and smiled at his leader. "We were just coming to see you...you needn't have come."
"I feared just such a happening as this when Kobus wanted to greet you...he didn't have the best of days, so such as this was bound to happen. But Kobus was so forceful in his wish to greet you, i couldn't just say no to him."
