Rabbit's Reception

Rabbit's Reception

A Chapter by Charles Petrie
"

Is it any wonder that bad rabbit bad is reckless?

"

"Why didn't you just leave me where I belonged stupid rabbit? Didn't you do me enough harm by taking out the last of the money in my account?"

Beredin Rabbit looked at Henry with no discernible scowl, for a moment, before he laughed. "Ha ha ha, stupid rabbit eh? Is that the best name you can think to call me human? I detest you humans for what you've done, but you...I think I already have a special dislike for you. I can smell the stink of your life. I should do you a favour and put you out of your misery now."

But before he could think
To even ready for that
Kobus came upon them
And surely yelled
At the getter best

"What on Earth posessed you to bring a human here Beredin? That only makes things worse for us when you do that. Didn't you learn from the last time? I wonder how it is you that you are our best getter."

"I just am Kobus, accept it." And Beredin bared his teeth at Kobus.

"Don't you bare you your teeth at me Beredin. You are our best getter, but that doesn't mean you are beyond suffering the consequences for your recklessness."

"You've said that before Kobus..and always been wrong. So why don't you just stop saying things you know just won't be?"

Part five of the first story in The Unnmamed Tome. Still an unexpected surprise of a book.
