Through The Hole

Through The Hole

A Chapter by Charles Petrie
"

Poor Henry Hilden, his life just keeps getting worse

"

And through the hole they went
Bad rabbit bad
And his hapless hostage
Henry Hilden The Third
Down as low
As he ever thought to go

This a thought
In regards to his life
But now rightly applied
To his where indeed
As far deep below
He'd now found himself

Rabbit, never having had a problem with the Hole Stepping, had no sympathy for poor Henry's awful reaction to it. not that he was a sympathetic evolved rabbit in any event, but he could have shown some. "Come human, I am not going to wait here for long at all. And I know you don't want to be here alone."

"Damnit rabbit, I feel awful okay? Can't you just let me have a few moments to get over this awful thing you forced me into?" And Henry sat on bended knees, looking at the soft grass and wondering just when his stomach would empty.

"No human, I won't. I still have my gun and I remain unafraid to use it on you if need be. Noerdeber would be most upset, but as his best getter, he'd get over it easily enough."

Henry's only reply
When came it did
Was a long low groan
And a look of anger at
His captor rabbit
