Another Effin' Poem

Another Effin' Poem

A Poem by Charles Petrie

Another Effin' Poem

Just another effin' poem

Written away from home

You know that place I dwell

But surely what the Hell

Is what you think

As you slowly drink

Hurry hurry up

Read read your words

And off you go

For you well know

We're not here for you

You're just our interminable

That lengthy length between

You know what we mean

Yes yes indeed

I just happened along

And chanced to read

The invitement to

And history wrote the rest

So to actually have me gone

If so you do or did

Is simply so

A matter of a price

Something like so nice

Just another effin' poem

As the two three bucks

You couldn't find

Has me here again

This is for the most that maybe cringe at the thought of more poetry. Maybe mine especially.

I love it! Especially the repetition. And don't diss yourself! You're not the worst poet I've ever read.
