you say you're transcending summer

just a cusp in the blur
framing the moment
in insolent sound

I fear the devil has heard you
and run you aground

so darling please listen close
and don't fall down

you and I could've been
tossing colours out the door

maybe they'd have landed somewhere

close to port

are you broken, are you feeling sideways?
do you need a friend?

'cause the piano might talk you through
your worst of days

you've found an outlet in the sky
based off some strangers alibi

you trust with a bleeding heart
and a dagger on the side

I can see your motivations

your intentions cannot lie
all the years of estrangement

left you rotting on the inside

you and I could've been
tossing colours out the door

maybe they'd have landed somewhere

close to port

are you broken, are you feeling sideways?
do you need a friend?

'cause the piano might talk you through
your worst of days

I hope you finally realize

you're a cusp in the blur

These are great lyrics - I can just imagine how even more beautiful they would be with music. Really nice work.

" 'cause the piano might talk you through your worst days"- I agree, at times I find music to be the best of companions.

I'm not a lyricist, heck! I'm not even a writer, but I heard the music with this.
Great status line too
