Deconstruct The IllusionA Poem by J.Sin2017.11.16 @ 21:07Enter. Our eyes lock It’s like a bolt of lightning Straight to my heart, A tempered dose of pure Want and lust. Each and every time it is A weakness I have never felt before. When you look away, Like you
always do, The effect is Baltic, A perpetual ice age, An extinction level event, Feral. This is the part where I state the Psychedelic metaphor, The utopian simile, Or some analogy that bares my soul, And wraps up our destiny In a nice little Packet. Life doesn’t work that way. I lay here soaked my own rationalizations, Betwixed and between hungers, Scrawny and permeated by Neglect. The Arctic front moves in, I desperately search for a way out, Pick a line, Run the gauntlet. Deviation is futile, Everything between us, A symphony of enemies, Looking, For Confrontation. © 2017 J.Sin |
