Good WhiskeyA Poem by J.SinThursday, October 26th, 2017 – Banská Bystrica, Slovakia – 20:40pmBottle on the nightstand, Thousand-page book on the post-sexed sheets, Nourishment for the ego. Id gone bipolar, Feral, Sterile, Choking on its own Bile. My skin twitches in yearning For the cold, robust stone of those necessary walls Built from old hate and unrestrained paranoia. Regressing thoughts carry me, deposit me Hilariously catatonic Somewhere on the insides of a sociopath’s Superego. Every breath momentarily dependent on Every other breath. My heartbeat cheerleading the massacre Of my hopes, Dreams, Passions, And sensibilities. F**k this. I walk outside and climb into my charcoal-grey Impala, Pull the rusted keys from the pocket of my torn jeans, The
portable bottle opener and Pikachu " minus one leg " rattling
against each other, and I turn the ignition. The Impala roars to life Clouds of unrestricted exhaust pour into the neighbourhood, An endangered bird dies somewhere in the park nearby, A permanent epitaph to “KOOL”. Silhouette on the sidewalk touching the tips of her Doc
Martens. She raises the near-empty bottle of Jameson, Takes a long drink as the Impala’s rubber squeaks on the
concrete curb, And as a final obligation to our cancerous lust, Of my consistent infidelity, She hurls the near-empty bottle through the rear window. The F**k- - ing B***h This is why our love was fatal… This is why we’ve never been in the same caste… I might f**k everything that moves… But she… She… … wastes good whiskey! © 2017 J.SinReviews
